With a wealth of experience in the Crude Oil, CPP, DPP, and Edible Oil trades, Ferrara Shipping B.V. Tankers is a skilled vessel chartering provider in period and spot markets. Major global commodity merchants, oil firms, and operators charter vessels. It also works on specialized joint venture projects and other creative, alternative plans for the commercial use of marine resources.
The commercial team also takes responsibility of maintaining and advancing strong working connection with charterers, and other industry participants. Our Sale and Purchasing department has direct access to both the Second Hand and Newbuilding sectors having dealt with many first class yards worldwide and keeping excellent links with all the major brokering houses. Our large customer base, international coverage, high-quality operations and proven expertise make us the ideal partner for all your ship-management requirements. CHARTERING
Our fleet travels the globe, securely transporting crude oil for our clients, who include the biggest oil companies. We transport oil to Australia and the Pacific islands, and we load and discharge daily in the Middle East, the Americas, East and Southeast Asia, and Europe. We travel across the surrounding seas, the Atlantic, the Indian, and the Pacific oceans. We also carry it out safely and effectively. Our goal of SAFE, CLEAN, and EFFICIENT tanker operations is something we firmly believe in and are committed to supporting.
The targets of ZERO POLLUTION and minimal environmental impact during our operations are also of the utmost importance to us, and are promoted in our day-to-day operations and by our behavior. We are committed to these targets and give our highest priority to the health, safety, and security of ourselves and our colleagues on board and ashore, as well as everyone else involved in our operations. We believe in the right to “stop work” by everyone who may observe activities or operations the he believes could harm health, or are likely to result in environmental damage. TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT
The fields of technical management of ships include all those that aim to optimize a vessel’s physical state and efficiency over the course of its operational life. The services we offer our shipowner clients are always compliant with industry regulations, established statutory bodies, appropriate Flag State laws, and the locations where the vessel is needed for trade.
We provide these services via our team of highly qualified, experienced and dedicated staff which comprises masters, engineers, supercargoes and technical superintendents. As a rule, technical superintendents, who are responsible for monitoring the vessel’s condition and all aspects of their performance and operation, are each allocated to a group of two to three vessels.
We also always ensure that a strict approach to safety and security is maintained and we also promote a high consideration for the protection of the environment. We constantly audit our procedures in order to ensure that the highest operating standards are maintained. These services include arranging and supervising of dry dockings and repairs, alterations and the maintenance of the Vessel to the standards agreed with the Owners, arranging the supply of necessary stores, spares, lubricating oil, other consumables used by vessels, vessel inspection, budget control and many other things without which cost-effective and profitable exploitation of the vessel is simply impossible.
